Welcome to the first event created with our community by the new Alloa Branch of the United Nations Association, Scotland.
‘Together in Peace’ is a collaboration project between UNA Alloa Branch and UNA Stirling University Branch to celebrate the UN Living Together in Peace World Day, 16th May 2023.
How do we create an environment for accepting the differences in people? Can we all develop our abilities to listen to each other; to recognise, respect and appreciate the unique and diverse people we all are. How do we promote living in a peaceful and united way – one way is through being together, using creativity to investigate our ideas, to experiment visually with our thoughts and producing art expression works to deepen our understanding.
During this free event we will share discussions around peace and, together, answer questions like ‘how do we show appreciation for others?’ while creating our answers in an artful way using methods of paper ripping and layering, collage, painting and drawing and sculpture. We are currently finalising that our collective art will move to Edinburgh for a wee event on 16th May, with all participants welcome. Details to be confirmed.
So join us on Friday 12th May from 1pm through to 2.30pm and together we will build human connections, share kindness and be creative. This event includes all materials.
